I recently realised that I hate my job... People have been telling me I shouldn't whine about it and carry on, but hey if you hate what you're doing and you can't see it doing anything in the next few years or going anywhere, then why the hell do it? I actually just started working here, barely 3 months and am still under probation. I might be getting older now and job-hopping isn't the best thing for me to do but my reasons are clear.
1. I cannot see any relevent career progression in my current job. I have no place to go.
2. This place hasn't increased anyones salary in the past 4 years.
3. They haven't given out any bonuses in 5 years.
4. After confirmation, i am required to give two-months notice before i can leave.
5. I do not enjoy the work that i do.
6. It's far from home and i have to drive through 45 minutes of rush hour traffice every morning.
Actually, the list goes on and on but i these 6 are enough for me to think of leaving. Fair enough, i like most of the people I'm working with, apart from my big boss, can't stand the smarmy bugger, but I can't stay in one place cuz the people are nice, what the fuck!
Well anyway I've been looking around on the net and I've found a few possibilities that look quite interesting, some of them really close to my home! So i hope you all wish me luck... 'Til my next post, ciaou baby!
